FREE Fitness Classes Return To Baltimore's Waterfront With More Classes In More Locations!

Join us this summer for free outdoor fitness classes! Classes run weekly from May 16 – October 30, 2022 (weather permitting). Due to safety guidelines and to help manage class sizes, all participants must pre-register for each class.

Waterfront Wellness is an annual series designed to make health and wellness easy for our local community. Medifast and its community of independent OPTAVIA coaches have a shared mission to offer the world "Lifelong Transformation, One Healthy Habit at a Time®." This mission is brought to life through free fitness programming and healthy living tips and supports a healthier future in our neighborhoods and the harbor. Together, Medifast and Waterfront Partnership hope to ignite healthy habits within our community!

  • Attend 16-30 classes and win a $50 gift card to a local gym, health, or wellness store.
  • Attend 30+ classes, win a $50 gift card to a local gym, health, or wellness store. Plus, a canvas tote, PLUS be entered to win a Peloton® – Original Peloton Bike with 3-month subscription!

In order to track your attendance, you must pre-register for each class AND check-in once you arrive to each class. Incentive prize levels are determined by the total number of classes attended during the season. Prizes will be distributed once the season ends and no earlier.

  • MissionFit - Bootcamp (Family-Friendly; Children ages 8 and older)

    Join MissionFit, a non-profit gym for inner-city youth, to whip all ages into shape. Coach Yoshwah will teach how and why form matters for foundational exercises and ways to make an exercise tailored to your fitness level and body type. But don't get it twisted; you will sweat and be challenged, both as an individual and a team! Bring your children, spouse, or friend to get this work!

  • Strong on the Lawn with Jessica Ceiri

    Join Jessi, NASM certified personal trainer and running coach with Charm City Run (@ceiriousgoals), for a bodyweight boot camp intended to test your strength and stability. We'll work on total body strength, core, and agility in this fast-paced class. Bring a water bottle, yoga mat, and a great attitude! All levels are welcome.

  • Line Dancing with Terry Townes of Jubilee Arts (Family-Friendly; Children ages 8 and older)

    A beginner line dance class where participants will learn various line dances, terminology, and the self-confidence to get up and dance when familiar line dance music is played at events! Line dancing can help with memory and coordination, and it is a wonderful way to get a total body workout while listening to music and meeting new friends.

  • Vinyasa Yoga With Breathing Dragon Yoga

    Come sweat with the Dragons! Breathing Dragon Yoga is Baltimore's newest hot yoga studio and is proud to offer your favorite styles of yoga, Dragon Style! We offer a variety of yoga classes, from Dragon Epic (Original Hot Yoga, which is Hatha Yoga in the Heat)  to Dragon Power Flow (Vinyasa Flow) to Dragon Yin/Yang classes. We can't wait to introduce you to all the different styles of yoga that we offer! Classes are suitable for beginner and advanced students alike.

  • Beginner Yoga with Clarie Strock

    Develop awareness and presence in the body through mindfulness, breathwork, and steady gentle movement. Class will begin with a warm-up followed by a combination of sitting and standing poses, balancing work, twists, and will end with a relaxing savasana meditation. This is a level one yoga class. Adaptations can be made for all levels.

  • Lunch Meditation - Sensory Immersion w/ Certified Nature Guide with Baltimore City Rec and Parks

    Nature therapy is focused around sensory immersion in a natural environment. Guided by invitations to connect with nature through one of the senses, participants find themselves immersed in the natural environment of Wills Park and will draw from this their own unique experience.

    The mission of RIOT Squad is to continue to foster a supportive environment in Baltimore City for each other's goals, both in fitness and in life.
