BGE Nature Play
BGE Nature Park
The BGE Nature Play provides plenty of opportunities for children to engage with nature while parents and passersbys sit on nearby benches, enjoying the scenic views of the harbor amongst the native plant gardens.
This urban nature park features hidden pathways, log structures to climb, small hills to conquer, and a water feature meandering down a rocky slope to a sand play area interlaced with native plantings and shade trees.
Urban Outdoor Play & Learning
The nature play area was designed by Natural Learning Initiative (NLI) , a leader in interactive play, childhood development, and environmental design. NLI designers Mary Archer and Brandon Dupree partnered with Mahan Rykiel Associates and Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore to create engaging, high-quality play areas in a more naturalized setting within the urban park that overlooks the Inner Harbor.
