25 Years of Strong Business, Civic, and Environmental Leadership
June 30th marks the 25th anniversary of Brown Advisory, a private investment and strategic advisory firm, located on Bond Street Wharf in Fells Point.
Mike Hankin, President and CEO of Brown Advisory, played a massive role in the founding of the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore. For twelve years he chaired our Board of Directors, and during that time he prioritized the safety and cleanliness of our Waterfront while also launching our Healthy Harbor Initiative, which he continues to lead today.
Mike and the team at Brown Advisory are deeply committed to the wellbeing of Baltimore, whether serving on boards, providing funding, or volunteering their time. Staff have raised more than 250,000 oysters off Bond Street Wharf, the firm is a founding sponsor of our Baltimore By Baltimore festival series, and Mike himself greenlit the Mr. Trash Wheel project, which has removed over five million pounds of trash and debris from the Harbor.
Baltimore is a better place thanks to the strong business, civic, and environmental leadership of Mike Hankin and Brown Advisory. We are thrilled to celebrate this important milestone for what has grown into a multi-national investment firm with over 850 employees that is still proud to call the Baltimore Waterfront its home.
