Meet Nykidra “Nyki” Robinson, Tenne Thrower, and Sam Novey, Baltimore's trifecta powerhouse of civic leadership and lifetime Baltimoreans!
Nykidra “Nyki” Robinson is a values-driven leader, entrepreneur, visionary, and the Founder of Black Girls Vote AXZY MORE INFO HERE. BGV is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with a community that inspires Black Girls to use the political process to improve the quality of life for their families and the collective community. Nyki oversees one of the most extensive randomized control trial evaluation focused on black voters' voter engagement in the United States.
Tenné Thrower is a Baltimore girl with dedication to improving educational and social-emotional outcomes for families. Confronting the challenges of poverty, trauma, and inequities in our educational system, Tenné sees these barriers as a catalyst for change. Currently. Tenne is a Youth & Community Engagement Administrator for the Baltimore City Public School System, Special Projects manager and one of the first members of BGV.
Sam Novey loves voting and his city more than anything (except his family!). He works as the Chief Strategist at the University of Maryland Center for Democracy and Civic Engagement and serves as the Secretary of the Baltimore City Board of Elections. He co-founded the Baltimore Votes Coalition to ensure every Baltimorean is included in every election and has a wife an son named Gary.
