Ticketing


  • The ice rink season starts on November 9th and ends on January 20th.

    The rink's hours of operation are as follows:

    • Monday to Thursday from 12pm(Noon) to 10pm

    • Friday from 12:00pm(Noon) to 11pm

    • Saturday from 10 am to 11pm

    • Sunday from 10 am to 8pm

  • During the following holidays, the ice rink will operate on special hours:

    • Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 23) from 12pm to 10pm,

    • Christmas Eve (Sunday, December 24) from 10am to 5pm

    • Christmas Day (Monday, December 25) from 4pm to 11pm,

    • New Year’s Eve (Sunday, December 31) from 10am to 11pm

    • New Year’s Day (Monday, January 1) from 11am to 10pm.

  • Tickets for the ice rink cost $15 for a single skater entry wristband, including skate rental. This allows you to come and go as much as you want during that day of operation. If you bring your own skates, you can purchase a single skater wristband for $12.

    Groups of 12 or more people can purchase tickets for $12 each person including skate rental.

    All Wristbands are non-transferable once put on, any customer seen trading skates and shoes with a person who has not purchased will have their wristband removed (NO REFUND) and will no longer be able to skate.

  • The Inner Harbor Ice Rink offers rental skates starting at Youth Size 9 all the way to Adult Male Size 13. When you exchange your shoes for skates please let the staff know if your shoe size is in Male or Female sizes, so we can adjust accordingly. If your child’s foot is smaller than a Youth Size 9 then they will not be allowed to skate.

    Staff has the right to check/refund/deny sale if your child’s foot cant fit properly in a Youth Size 9 skate.

  • The Inner Harbor Ice Rink will close whenever the safety of skaters comes into question. If the ice rink does close, we will post on the Waterfront Partnership Social Media pages. All Online purchases will receive an email or text that the rink has closed and give you an option to move your date of ice skating to another day or a refund.

  • Online Customers will receive a full refund or option to move their reservation date to another within 24 hours' notice of cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. Contact the Rink Manager by email: IceRink@waterfrontpartnership.org to inquire about cancellations of reservations. No-shows forfeit the right to a refund.

Operations

If there are any inquiries, please feel free to get in touch with the Rink Manager via email at IceRink@waterfrontpartnership.org.

  • The Inner Harbor Ice Rink has a capacity of 120 skaters. The staff at times will have to regulate purchasing to make sure that we do not go over the limit and to make sure the people on the ice can enjoy their experience at the rink.

  • At the Inner Harbor Ice Rink we ask that you wear/bring socks with you when using rental skates. If you forget socks, we do offer socks for $3 a pair. The ice rink is located outside and we suggest that you dress accordingly to the weather. While on the ice we ask that if you need to use your phone that you stand by the boards and don't hesitate to ask one of our skate guards to take your photo to capture your experience. Ice skating has an inherent risk to yourself and you are more than welcome to bring whatever safety equipment (helmet, elbow/knee pad, etc.) you like.

  • The Inner Harbor Ice Rink has one time use lockers that cost 50 cents for customers to use while they skate. We have change available at the purchasing window.

  • Once you purchase your wristband you are more than welcome to come and go until the end of the day operating hours. If you do need a break or warm up we do ask for you to stay on the black mats around the rink when you have skates on.

Facilities

  • The Inner Harbor Ice rink is located at the corner of Light St. and Pratt St. between Harborplace Pavillions.

    Multiple Parking garages can be found in the area.

  • Food and Drink is not allowed while you're skating on the ice rink. To eat and drink you must be off the ice surface and on the black mats. You are more than welcome to bring outside food and drink to the rink.

  • Smoking and alcohol use is not permitted while skating at the Inner Harbor Ice Rink. We have the right to refuse service, if staff deems that you’re too intoxicated to skate for the safety of yourself and other skaters. If you do smoke we ask that you relocate to an area that doesn’t affect other skaters and children.

Skill Level


  • Unfortunately you must be 3 years and older and be able to fit in a Toddler Size 9 Skate to skate. We ask that all children under the age of 10 be accompanied by an adult.

  • The Inner Harbor Ice Rink asks that all children under 9 yrs old be accompanied by an adult or guardian due to the inherent risk of ice skating and at times the rink can become crowded. We do have blue skate walkers that are available on a 1st come 1st serve basis, but the staff does have the right to take them away if they believe you are endangering yourself and other skaters.

  • We believe everyone has the right to enjoy ice skating and we will make accommodations on a case by case situation to facialte your disability.

Reservations


  • Season Pass: $100 per person for unlimited admission and rentals to all public skating sessions. Get your season pass card in person when you arrive for your first session. Other restrictions may apply. Expires January 15, 2024.

  • For groups of 12 or more, tickets are discounted to $12 per person. For larger groups of 20 or more, please email IceRink@waterfrontpartnership.org to make a reservation. Large group reservations must be scheduled at least one week in advance and may be difficult during normal rink hours. Additional fees and restrictions apply for private reservations that require rink closure or operation outside normal rink hours.

Miscellaenous


  • By entering the rink premises, you consent to photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore and its rink sponsors.

  • In the interest of safety, pets are not allowed on ice or black mats, unless the pet is an American with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliant Animal. NO Emotional Support Animals allowed on the ice or in the black mat area. Please be aware that ice skates have sharp edges, you assume all liability if your pet is injured.

  • The ice rink is not responsible for lost or stolen items. We encourage our customers to keep their personal belongings in a secure location while skating. However, if an item is lost or stolen, we advise customers to report the incident to the Rink Manager immediately.

    If an item is found by our staff, we will make every effort to return it to its rightful owner. We will ask customers to provide a detailed description of the lost item, including the date and time it was lost, and any other relevant information that can help us identify the item.

    Please note that we cannot guarantee the return of lost items, and we are not liable for any lost or stolen items. We encourage our customers to take necessary precautions to protect their belongings while at the ice rink.

Inner Harbor Ice Rink is operated by

Magic Ice USA specializes in rentals of seasonal temporary ice rinks, ice slides, and bumper cars that draw attention and promote a family-friendly atmosphere. Magic Ice is run by experienced owners and operators of ice skating and roller-skating facilities. They cover everything from equipment, skating aids, lighting and sound, and rental skating equipment. This includes ice skate rental, Zamboni rental, ice rink peripherals, and new and used ice rink equipment.

  • By engaging in skating, skaters and spectators are deemed to have knowledge of, and assume the inherent risks of skating which include but are not limited to the following:

    • Injuries that result from collisions of contact with other skaters or individuals who are on the skating surface.

    • Injuries that result from falls.

    • Injuries that involve objects or artificial structures that is within intended path of travel of the skater.

    1. To participate in skating, a wristband that includes the participation waiver is mandatory.

    2. Skaters must only use a wristband issued by the rink, color-coded for the day of the session.

    3. While wearing skates, it is required to remain within the designated rubber floor area.

    4. All individuals skating on the ice must wear ice skates.

    5. Skating is not permitted during ice resurfacing.

    6. The management reserves the right to halt skating for various reasons, including ice resurfacing, special events, staff-related concerns, safety, and ice maintenance.

    7. For safety reasons, it is strictly prohibited to sit or climb on protective dasher boards.

    8. The use of hockey sticks, pucks, or balls is not permitted during skating sessions.

    9. To ensure everyone's safety, it is not allowed to skate against the flow of traffic.

    10. Children under nine years old must be accompanied by an adult or an experienced skater for their safety.

    11. For the safety of all, carrying children on the ice is not permitted.

    12. For safety and cleanliness reasons, food, beverages, and breakable objects are not allowed on the ice.

    13. For safety reasons, bags, purses, and bulky items are not allowed on the ice.

    14. Skating while under the influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited for the safety of all participants.

    15. To maintain a respectful and safe environment, profanity, obscene gestures, and clothing are not allowed.

    16. All participants must conduct themselves in a manner that does not cause or contribute to injury to themselves or others.

    17. For safety reasons, it is strictly prohibited to throw or leave objects on the rink surface.

    18. Participants must not instigate or become involved in any altercations and must refrain from engaging in abusive, abrasive, or disorderly conduct with skaters or spectators.

    19. To ensure the smooth running of the skating session, participants must follow the directions of the Ice Attendant and rink staff at all times.

    20. For safety reasons, all incidents and accidents must be reported to the Ice Attendant or rink staff immediately.

    21. To avoid injury to themselves or others, reckless skating, camel spins, and speed skating are not allowed.

    22. All posted signs, warnings, and instructions from rink staff must be read and followed for everyone's safety.

    23. Participants must maintain a proper lookout to avoid other skaters, objects, or conditions on the rink surface.

    24. Participants must accept responsibility for knowing their ability range while on skates and skate within those limits to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
