Easily the best views of the harbor can be found atop the gradually sloped green roof of the BGE Pavillion, to what is now colloquially known as "the overlook."
The overlook welcomes visitors who enter from the Key Highway to curved pathways lined with native plants and kinetic wind sculptures. Visitors can walk up the grassy slope to all-encompassing waterfront views before descending into the main park down a grand set of stairs that watch over the park and waterfront promenade.
