5 Ways to Celebrate Voting at Baltimore by Baltimore!

Our final Baltimore by Baltimore of the season is this Sunday, October 6th from 12-7pm at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater. This month’s show, Voting is a Vibe, is produced by voter advocacy groups Black Girls Vote & Baltimore Votes. Complete with music, dance, art, shopping, and more, this event is here to show that voting isn’t just your civic duty- it’s a vibe. Here’s the rundown of 5 unique things to expect at October’s show.

#1: City Schools on the Go!

Look out for the colorful City Schools on the Go bus, which will be parked on the promenade during the event! City Schools is bringing tons of fun on board, including art and sculptures, a 3D pen party, face painting, and more youth-oriented resources.

#2: The Baltimore Podcast Takeover

Something new coming to the stage this event: a special podcast takeover! Two local podcasts, Bourbon and Boyshorts and Theoretikally R&B w/NoriNori will be taking the stage together to bring a new element of local art and culture to the forefront. You’ll definitely want to “tune in” for this one.

#3: Register to Vote!

It wouldn’t be a party about voting without the chance to register! Come with all your questions about how and why to register and let’s check that box together- so you can check the boxes in November. There will be three organizations registering attendees on site.

#4: Voting Conversation with Black Girls Vote & Baltimore Votes

Don’t miss a special conversation between our two host organizations happening on stage at 3:35pm. Our powerhouse producers will be talking about your city’s local elected officials, asking civic trivia questions, and of course discussing the importance of using your voice in the upcoming election.

#5: Baltimore Bike Party

Be sure to get a seat at BxB by 2pm, when the Baltimore Bike Party will be arriving at the Inner Harbor! In addition to being a quirky and colorful celebration that is wholeheartedly Baltimore, Bike Party will be part of the event’s conversation on the importance of health in policy.
Don’t miss this spectacular spectacle!
