Ops Team Spotlight: Bridget Webster

This month we are proud to feature Safety Ambassador Bridget Webster for our Operations Team Spotlight. Bridget has been a member of our team for 14 years, and during that time she has worked hard assisting visitors and residents on the waterfront- providing resources, directions, and information as well as being a friendly and welcoming presence.

Her current position is on the safety team, but since she started in 2009, Bridget has volunteered to help with many different roles, including housekeeping, supplies inventory, training new hires, and assisting new managers. Out of everything she’s done here, Bridget says her favorite part of the job is meeting and talking to visitors. “That’s what our program is sold on- meeting the guests, greeting the guests, assisting them, making sure they have the best possible time while they’re in the city.”

Born and raised in Baltimore, Bridget says she wants newcomers to become return visitors. “That’s what our main goal here is…for them to want to return. When they go back, they tell people about how great Baltimore City is and they would want to return in the future.” As for Bridget, her favorite thing about her job is also her favorite thing about Baltimore- getting to meet and spend time with different types of people and personalities.

Bridget also enjoys the scenery of the waterfront, and says that she is able to find peace and happiness through working near it every day. It’s a sentiment that many of us are lucky enough to share-especially when we have team members like Bridget working to make the waterfront clean, safe, friendly, and accessible.

If you see Bridget around the waterfront, be sure to stop and say hi!
