Partner Event Services

Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore works daily towards activating and enlivening Baltimore’s Waterfront. When planning an event in our district, Waterfront Partnership would happily assist you throughout the event planning and permitting process.

What is a special event?

  • A Special Event is any event that meets one or more of the following criteria:

  • Any event that is a parade, carnival, festival, block party (not for private or residential use), or running, walking or bicycling event.

  • Any event that requires the closure of any street or public right of way to vehicular or pedestrian traffic.

  • Any event to be held at a public facility or City park with a projected attendance of 35 or more.

  • Any event that will require the use of City resources for security, crowd control, traffic control and/or police services. Police services are required for any event serving alcohol.

[1] Marketing In-Kind

WPB provides marketing assistance and amplification of events via social media and digital marketing for events in our district, including MCB, Fells Point, Harbor East, Harbor Point and adjacent business etc. Clients will provide their own designed social media assets, and WPB will schedule dedicated social media, newsletter inclusion, and reposting of post-event content. All marketing assets are due a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.

[2] Permitting & Liquor Board Requests

For event planning partners that have engaged in contracted event management services, including Special event permitting and liquor board permitting. Clients may provide their own social media assets with WPB listed as a sponsor, and WPB will schedule dedicated social media, newsletter inclusion, and reposting of post-event content. Additionally WPB should be named in press releases or printed materials will include WPB.

[3] Event Operations

For event planning partners that have engaged in contacted event management services and additional Clean team or security operation services. Clients will provide proof of liability, pay permitting costs in addition to all the listed services above.
