Baltimore by Baltimore in Photos: July 2024

July’s show was Harbor Hootenanny, a celebration of Baltimore’s acoustic roots music scene produced by local musician and organizer Brad Kolodner.

Festivalgoers learned to two-step and square dance, clapped along to bluegrass and Old Time performances, and shopped for locally made arts and goods.

With fiddles, banjos, doghouse bass, and more, Old Time musicians kept the beats going on stage with original songs and covers of classics. Performances included sets from local bands Ken & Brad Kolodner, The Honey Dewdrops, Geraldine, and The High & Wides; and a special tap performance by Baltimore dancer Becky Hill and friends.

Thanks to Becky Hill and Baltimore Square Dance, attendees learned line dancing and a few types of social dance, including square dancing and partner dancing. While bands played on stage, new and experienced dancers alike enjoyed dancing along.

The marketplace, organized by local business advocate and consultant Kathleen Overman, featured an eclectic and colorful array of Baltimore creatives. Visitors sipped iced chai and cocktails while perusing jewelry, clothing, fine art, and more.

Our Shade Stations and water misters offered a chance to beat the heat and relax throughout the day. Thanks to our partners PNC for helping us cool off during the event!

Thanks for everyone who came out to spend a sunny day on the waterfront with us! Don’t miss the next Baltimore by Baltimore on Saturday, August 10th.
