Everything You Need to Know About Fleet Week 2024

Maryland Fleet Week returns to Baltimore June 12-18 2024. Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy this week-long celebration complete with ship tours, festivals, flyovers, and educational activities!

First thing first….What is Fleet Week?

Maryland Fleet Week & Flyover Baltimore, presented by Northrop Grumman, is a week-long celebration that brings together the "Fleet, Flights, and Festivals" from June 12-18, 2024. This event honors the dedication of service members who defend our freedoms at sea and in the air, both past and present.
Events will be happening all week long at locations in Baltimore City & Baltimore County.

Fleet Week is a nearly 100 year old US Military tradition where Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen dock up in various cities around the nation to share in celebrating our country's deep naval heritage. For more information and FAQs about this tradition, visit the Maryland Tourism Association website here!

This year’s Fleet Week will feature 3 main components: Fleet, Festivals, and Flyovers!

FLYOVERS

There will be an exciting series of flyovers of modern and historic military and civilian aircraft Friday, June 14-Sunday, June 16, centered over Baltimore’s iconic Inner Harbor. Eventgoers can enjoy seeing and hearing the roar of jets overhead while strolling around the festival or while taking tours of the visiting ships. At Flyover Control, located at the Harborplace Light Street Pavilion, National Aviation Expert Matt Jolley will provide up to the minute announcements, commentary, and information on the flyovers.

FLEET

Ships begin arriving in Baltimore on Wednesday, June 12 and include United States Navy and Coast Guard vessels, Army Corps of Engineers vessels, many traditional sailing craft and working vessels.
Ships will be docked at the following locations:
Inner Harbor West Wall
Piers 1-5 in the Inner Harbor
North Locust Point Marine Terminal Pier 4
Fells Point Broadway Pier

Most of the visiting ships will be open for free public tours Thursday, June 13 through Monday, June 17 from 10AM to 5PM! Download the Fleet Week app to check before you go and make sure the ship you’re visiting is open.

FESTIVALS

We’ve covered the sky and the water, but what’s happening on land is just as exciting! There will be three festival activations during Maryland Fleet Week featuring live musical performances, exhibitors, food and drink, hands-on children’s activities, military displays and more.
