The Local Art Scene Comes Alive In Fells Point

Fells Point is a great place to explore Baltimore’s thriving, unique local arts scene!
Here are all the best places (including galleries and shops) in Fells Point to see works by local artists and engage with the local creative community.

This gallery is located on Fleet St in the heart of Fells Point and showcases a wide range of art from local creatives. The owner and curator, Luann Carra, has an emphasis on mosaic and upcylcing.
The gallery also hosts workshops and events, including yoga classes, art classes, poetry reading, and meditation.

Winkel Gallery, located on Aliceanna St, showcases both new and established artists. Their space is designed to appeal to all art viewers, from aficionados to novices, and they aim to have something for everyone to enjoy!
In addition to different rotating exhibitions, the gallery also offers art lessons for individuals and parties; and the gallery is a popular event rental space.

Located in a former Catholic convent on Thames St, this gallery is dedicated to showcasing contemporary local artists. You can find current and upcoming exhibitions on their website and on their Twitter. Each artist’s exhibition kicks off with an opening reception and they also host other fun events, like artist meet and greets and outdoor shows.

Please note: Alchemy of Art currently offers viewings by appointment only, and limited admission to opening receptions.

Luna Garden is a cafe and event space located right next to the iconic SoundGarden record store. Local art is also an integral part of the space- the indoor and outdoor murals were painted by local artists and are a popular spot for photos. The shop also displays and sells artworks, and they hold a weekly night market that features local artists and makers.

Fells Point Cultivated Creations is a plant store that also has deep roots (pun intended) in the Baltimore art community. You can always find things from local artists and makers for sale in the store, and they also host art-focused events like art club, figure drawing class, and a yearly makers market.
