Baltimore's 10th Annual Cranksgiving

  • 301 Light Street Baltimore, MD, 21202 United States (map)

Cranksgiving is a national event that combines bike riding and giving back. This scavenger hunt/food drive sends teams of riders across the city to collect food items to benefit the Franciscan Center and Moveable Feast. Basically, it's all about food for people in need and riding bikes with friends, new and old.

Riding is more fun with friends! To participate in Cranksgiving, you must ride on a team of 3-4 people. Each rider must register individually using this form. If you can't find a team, you can register as a "free agent" and we will do our best to pair you with other riders looking for a team.

If you have a bigger group of friends, split into multiple teams (for example, Turkey Legs I and Turkey Legs II). You can still all ride together but will be scored separately.

You will meet up at Harborplace Light Street Pavilion. At the race start, you will receive an email manifest with locations of grocery stores, food items to purchase, and challenge stations to visit. Your team will try to hit as many of these as possible in the time alloted, ending at Franciscan Center or Moveable Feast to drop off food by 3:00pm. Make sure to bring a lock, bag or other way to carry food, and some cash to purchase groceries.

We'll announce winners at the afterparty at Harborplace Light Street Pavilion. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and DFL teams, as well as FTW, Family, and Best Costume categories. We'll also have a silent auction and more fun activities.
