Squeeze in one more night of Halloween fun, and treat your little one to a party designed just for them and their favorite stuffed animal friend. Activities include: -Bowling with mini pumpkins -Investigate how mama bats find their babies in the dark -Whip up a batch of spooky slime -Stargazing in the planetarium -Open exploration of MSC’s exhibits at night This event is designed for children ages 8 and under, but older siblings are welcome to join in on the fun! This is not a drop off event, all children must have a paid adult in their party.

Calling all junior paleontologists! Spend an unforgettable night at the Maryland Science Center digging into dinos. Examine clues from our planet's prehistoric past and see if you can piece together enough evidence to identify a mystery dinosaur. Challenge yourself to a raptor approved tippy tower building game. Roam the exhibit halls with your herd, and more! This event is intended for families with children ages 5+. All children must have a paid adult in their party.

Join us for our annual community skate event at Jake's Skate Park in Rash Field! This free event is a chance for kids under 12 to learn to skate in a fun, supportive environment. Local legend and pro skater Joey Jett, along with shredders from the Skatepark of Baltimore, will be assisting young skaters to get on board. Plus, enjoy free skate gear giveways, DJ Remedy spinning a mix of tunes for all ages, and free ice cream from Miss Twist!

The Museum strives to be an inclusive and accessible space that celebrates neurodiversity and welcomes people of all needs and abilities. We currently offer monthly Sensory Friendly Mornings, open to all guests and members, and weekly Access & Inclusion Afternoons open to groups serving children and families with disabilities, on the autism spectrum, and/or sensory processing disorders. Pre-registration is required.

Port Discovery’s Sensory Friendly Mornings provide Museum access to families who would benefit from a sensory friendly experience and quieter setting at Port Discovery two hours before opening to the general public.

It's bound to be dino-mite time from noon to 4pm—dig for fossils, learn the tools of paleontology, discover a dinosaur's dinner and more.

Get ready for a dino-sized science adventure! Uncover fossils and learn about the creatures who roamed the Earth millions of years ago.

Discover what it takes to be a paleontologist in this 2.5-hour workshop intended for ages 7-10. Learn how fossils form and what they can tell you about ancient life by making scientific models of molds and casts. Conduct a mock excavation and test out real field techniques used to protect fossils for their journey back to the lab. The workshop will then head over to our Dinosaur Mysteries exhibit where you will use clues to find a few of our favorite dinosaur specimens.

Everyone’s favorite ball drop before bedtime is back again. Make memories and party, Science Center style, at MSC’S 16th annual Midnight Noon celebration! Enjoy loads of festive activities and games, explore all three floors of hands-on science exhibits, and help us ring in the New Year with a noontime ball drop!
